Tail paint herd 3 - 4 weeks before mating to help identify non - cyclers.
Liver biopsies or blood tests to check mineral status.

Wean calves on weight, not on age.  F - 100 kg, X - 90 kg, J - 80 kg.

Heifers
Vaccinate for BVD - timing is not essential but aim for about 4 weeks before the planned start of mating.
